Often, beef jerky and kippered beef are considered to be one and the same. Actually, jerky is usually dried in smaller strips and not smoked. The word
kippered" refers to the way the food is preserved. Most kippered beef is smoked and not as dried out as jerky. The slices can be rather thick and slightly more moist than jerky."

The jerky is only available to us in vacuum sealed 10lb bags (we are not the manufacturer of the jerky) so unfortunately we are not able to break up the jerky into smaller increments. Reading above you see we cover what needs to be done after opening the jerky so that is why it must be offered in 10lb bags. We understand this is quite a bit of jerky so we do recommend making sure you are familiar with the Jack Link's Kippered jerky and their flavors before purchasing this large amount.
Also googling online it appears the best procedure for the 10 lb bag is breaking into 1lb portions, placing into individual bags, vacuum sealing, and freezing them. As you are ready to continue eating the jerky you would thaw the 1lb bag in the refrigerator before consuming.
We have included the nutritional facts from the package and it states refrigerate after opening but we are passing along what customers have told us is the best method to keep the jerky and matched it to what we found online.
